How to Calculate the Gas Consumption of the Gas Fired Boiler?

2019/12/27

Gas fired boiler usually refer to natural gas fired boilers. What is the relationship between natural gas fired boiler tonnage and gas consumption?

Take 1 ton/h gas fired boiler as an example. It is known that the power of 1t/h gas fired boiler is 0.7MW, assuming the low heat value of natural gas is 35MJ/m3 (the specific number can be detected), assuming that the minimum efficiency of the gas boiler is 92%, and 100% output is required. Then the natural gas consumption per hour:

L= Q÷qL÷92%×3600

  = 0.7÷35÷92%×3600

  = 78.26m³/h

This makes it clear that to achieve the output heat of 1000kg/h boiler, the gas consumption is equivalent to 78 cubic meters. In actual work, the thermal efficiency of the gas boiler from Yuanda boiler can be as high as 99%.  which requires the calculation of specific gas consumption based on actual usage. In actual work, the boiler may not be fully used. This has to be calculated based on actual boiler usage.
